Why St. Louis Homeowners Call Ascent Epoxy
Three things work against a garage floor here: summer heat, winter brine, and concrete that has been down for decades. This is how Vince's crew deals with each one.
We Check the Slab Before We Coat
Half the homes in the city of St. Louis were built before 1940. Old concrete can hold moisture, so we check it first and use a moisture-mitigation primer when it needs one. If a crack is still moving, you hear it from us before anything is coated.
Checked before any resin goes downTop Coats for Brine and Hot Tires
MoDOT pre-treats area highways with salt brine and beet juice, the City adds a liquid magnesium/calcium chloride to its salt, and all of it rides home on your tires. Come July, the same tires roll in off 90-degree pavement. A polyaspartic top coat handles both seasons.

Most residential projects are completed in one day; some take two. You get the schedule at the estimate, so you know exactly when the garage or basement is yours again.

Few local installers put floor prices on their sites. We do: flake with a polyaspartic top coat typically runs about $5–$9 per sq ft, or about $2,400–$4,600 for a 2-car garage. Typical, not a quote; your free on-site estimate sets the real figure.

Coatings grip clean, open concrete. We diamond-grind the slab, fill cracks and seams, and lift oil and old stains before the base coat, so the new floor bonds to sound concrete instead of grime or old sealer.

What a Coated Floor Handles in a St. Louis Year
A well-prepped epoxy floor under a polyaspartic top coat turns porous, dusty concrete into a sealed surface that is easy to keep clean.
Hot-Tire Resistant
Tires parked straight off hot July pavement can pull up a weak garage coating; a polyaspartic top coat is made to resist that pickup.
Chemical & Stain Resistant
Motor oil, brake fluid, antifreeze and winter slush sit on top of the coating instead of soaking in. Wipe them up and the floor underneath stays clean.
UV-Stable
Plain epoxy can yellow in sunlight. Polyaspartic top coats are UV-stable, so a garage left open on summer afternoons keeps its color.
Impact & Abrasion Resistant
Dropped wrenches, bikes, mowers and rolling toolboxes: cured resin takes everyday knocks far better than bare concrete. The same chemistry goes on shop and warehouse floors.
Slip Resistance on Request
Wet tires and snowmelt make any glossy floor slick. Anti-slip additives are available for all our coatings, and flake finishes add texture on their own.
Easy to Clean & Maintain
No grout and no open pores. Sweep, squeegee the winter slush out the door and mop with a mild cleaner. That is the whole routine.
How a St. Louis Floor Goes In
Five steps, the same whether it is a city basement or a West County three-car garage.
Free on-site estimate
Vince or one of his crew visits, measures the floor, looks over cracks, stains and any old coating, and talks through colors. You get a written price before anything is scheduled.
Moisture check & slab prep
We check the slab for moisture, diamond-grind the surface so the coating can bond, fill cracks and seams, and take out oil stains. A peeling old coating comes off first.
Base coat & color
The base coat goes onto the clean, open concrete, with flake, metallic pigment or solid color added at this stage. On muggy summer days we compare slab temperature with the dew point before we start.
Clear top coat
A UV-stable polyaspartic or polyurethane top coat seals the floor against brine, stains and hot tires. If you want extra grip, the anti-slip additive goes in here.
Walk-through & care tips
We walk the finished floor with you and go over care. Most home floors are done in one day, some in two; light foot traffic is fine after about 24 hours, and we tell you when it is safe to park.

"The best epoxy flooring installers in town! The entire process was so smooth. We called to get an estimate and Vince came out the next day to discuss our options. Their pricing was reasonable compared to other providers. The guys were very professional and above all, punctual! They completed their job according to our schedule. My partner and I were very happy with the outcome, and grateful that Vince & his team were able to finalize the floor before the grand opening of our store. Thank you guys!!"
