Local Installers, One Phone Number, Missouri Side Only

Ascent Epoxy St. Louis puts epoxy, polyaspartic and polyurea coatings on floors for homes and businesses in the city of St. Louis and across St. Louis County. The work is done by Vince, our local installer, and his crew: garages, basements, driveways, shops, restaurants and warehouse floors. Being part of the Ascent Epoxy network gives us one phone line and typical prices posted online, but the people on your floor are local.

St. Louis concrete comes in every age. The city's median home dates from 1938, inner-ring suburbs such as University City, Webster Groves and Clayton have median homes from 1949 to 1954, and Wildwood's median home is from 1992. Each slab needs its own prep, so every job starts with a free visit, a moisture check and a written price. That is what you should expect from any St. Louis epoxy installer, whoever you end up hiring.

The local weather shapes the work as well. Lambert sees about 47 days a year at 90°F or more and about 85 nights at or below freezing, and MoDOT pre-treats area highways with salt brine and beet juice all winter. That mix is why garage floors here get a polyaspartic top coat, and why we check the slab before any coating goes down.

How We Work

Four habits behind every St. Louis floor we put down.

Prep Comes First

Coatings fail when they go onto dirty, damp or crumbling concrete. We check the slab for moisture, diamond-grind it, fill cracks and seams and take out oil stains before the first coat. If a crack is still moving, you hear it from us up front instead of finding it under a new floor.

Pro Coatings, Matched to the Room

Polyaspartic for fast, UV-stable garage floors, epoxy and polyurea base coats, urethane cement for hot, wet kitchens, plus anti-slip additives and low-VOC options when you need them. We don't sell DIY kits; we tell you which system suits your space and why.

Typical Prices in Plain Sight

Few local installers post floor prices at all. We do: flake with a polyaspartic top coat typically runs about $5–$9 per sq ft, or about $2,400–$4,600 for a 2-car garage. Those are typical figures, not a quote. Read the St. Louis price guide →

Plain Answers on Timing

Most residential projects are completed in one day; some take two. Light foot traffic is fine after about 24 hours, and we tell you when the car can go back in. You get the schedule at the estimate, so you can plan around it.

What We Tell You About Your Slab Before You Sign

St. Louis County sits on karst, limestone with caves and sinkholes beneath much of it. A floor coating cannot fix concrete that is settling or shifting, so if a crack is still active we say so before we price the job, and we will not bury settlement under a shiny new floor.

Basements get the same straight talk. A coated basement floor is far easier to mop and disinfect if water gets in, but no coating keeps water out or stops a sewer backup. We check the slab for moisture first and tell you what we find before you decide.

Vince has installed floors across St. Louis for years. He or his crew measures your floor, helps you choose colors and does the install, so the person who prices the job knows exactly what was agreed.
